Production sites

The historical production site of Unigrà is located in Conselice (RA): it has been built in the early 1970s and has never stopped growing since then. Over time, it has been complemented with two other plants, following the acquisitions of Olfood (in Borgo San Giacomo – Brescia) and D+F (in Vinci – Florence).

Over the past few years, the Company has also expanded abroad, by establishing two new plants in Brazil and Malaysia to control the strategic markets of Asia and South America.

Italy

The plant in Conselice (Ravenna) consists of 15 state-of-the-art production units, covering a total indoor surface of more than 100,000 square metres. The company is characterised by marked vertical integration, because it controls the whole supply chain: logistics and refining of oils and raw vegetable fats, procurement of agricultural raw materials from its own supply chain, processing of ingredients and finished goods, energy self-sufficiency thanks to power plants based on renewable energy sources and high-efficiency co-generation.

The plant in Borgo San Giacomo (BS), currently specialised in the processing of vegetable oils and fats, started a substantial production upgrading process, which is expected to lead to expanding its scope to new product categories for the industrial, artisan and Ho.Re.Ca. channels.

The plant in Vinci (FI) is currently being radically restyled with new production lines for confectionery and frozen bread-making, as well as a new storage area.

Malaysia

The production complex in Malaysia, inaugurated in 2019 in the city of Pasir Gudang, State of Johor, is a strategic industrial investment in the APAC region, a huge emerging market where the group expects the plant to help offer a rapid and efficient service for its customer base. The plant covers approximately 27,000 square metres, with production units for real and compound chocolate, UHT vegetable creams and margarines.

Brazil

In order to gain a foothold on the South-American market, the Unigrà group decided to invest in a production plant in the city of Sorocaba, State of São Paulo. The plant in Brazil is currently dedicated to producing UHT vegetable creams, semi-finished products for artisan gelato and spreadable creams; it covers a total surface of approximately 14,000 metres.
